SAVAGES: LA Premiere Blake Lively

Blake Lively who has told the Press in the past that she doesn’t use a stylist, made a beautiful statement at the Savages LA Premiere, where she chose figure-hugging gown by Zuhair Murad. She finished her look with an old Hollywood retro curls.

Complexion: Blake gave great face with a nice glowly complexion, your can get this look, by using a tinted moisture that give enough coverage as well as provide SPF. A great tinted moisturizer on the market is Laura Mercier, if you can’t find a color the NARS tinted moisturizer has an array of colors for every skin tone. Use your hands when applying tinted moisturizer to get the best coverage.

Eyes: To achieve Blake’s’ eyes use a shade of eye shadow that is very close to your skin tone. One of my personally favorites is Urban Decay’s Vanilla because it gives a bit a brilliance while showing your skin. Don’t skip on the lashes or be sure to pile on a great volume giving mascara. Bigger the brush, the more volume your lashes will get.

Cheeks: You want to keep the cheeks light, so use a color like Madly From NARS Cosmetics, which is a nice, brown pink.  Place Luxor multiple stick from NARS Cosmetics on the cheekbones as a highlighter.

Lip: Blake chose a nice red orange like NARS Heatwave that completes her look and gives her skin a bronze look.

Spring Inspiration 2012

It’s springtime and as nature renews life, the land of beauty is also ready for a renewal with great new products and the reinvention of some of the classics.

This year, our spring beauty inspirations include bursts of bright colors that are very reminiscent of jewel tones. On the runway, our designer friends are giving us emerald greens, fiery oranges, electric blues, vibrant maize and intense purples.

Now you are thinking, “ how am I going to put all these colors into my look?” The key to making trends work is not to take everything that every fashion and beauty segment is showing and put it together!

The idea is for you to work these colors into your own personal style. One thing is to remain true to yourself and your own style. For example if its not your personality or style to wear bright colors over the eye, don’t wear it in your crease to add a pop of color. One thing that I thrive on is making new items fit into a Beauty’s make up bag not totally remaking her. Lets face it; its super expensive and some mass-market products are Great!!

I have to say there were many products that made our Fall, Spring and Summer, these are a few of the BEST (in my humble opinion, but not limited too) Its so hard for a girl to limit herself.

10. The new packaging from Smashbox.

This packaging is idea, because it allows you access to your entire product. The old containers are a distant memory and thank goodness so if you loves the Photo finish Primer, but hated the container, give it another try the packaging won’t disappoint. Why this product is worth getting to know.  The Photo Finish Hydrating Foundation Primer is 
a hydrating foundation primer refreshing to the skin. 

Smashbox know that hydration is essential for healthier, younger looking skin and when you skin looks better your makeup looks even better.  Primer fills in any fine lines as pores and provides a protective barrier for the make up to guide on. This primer gives your complexion a moisture boost while remaining oil free and lightweight.

9. Urban Decay 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner 


UD introduced this precision liquid eyeliner that is Fantastic to say the least. They make the list because of the brush, it assures that you draw waterproof liquid lines that a slick and thin or wide and sharp. The formula is available in long-lasting matte, and with shimmery shades that are true to the color matching packaging. So they are able to find in any style. There are 11 long-lasting, highly pigmented colors to choose from. Just throwing out there that Perversion, a carbon black and Smog reigning among my must haves.  There were a few liners that were introduced this year, but these by far take the cake and live up to their name 24/7. 

8. Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Liner 


Laura Mercier introduced Caviar Eye Liner, a semi-crème eyeliner that is velvety / matte finish that gives pure rich color. This eyeliner made the list because of the quality of the product as well as allowing even a novice to make a smoky eye life a pro. I personally recommend this product because of the texture that helps to prevent fall out. It comes in 3 basic colors: Black, Navy=Midnight and Brown= Chestnut staying true to the traditional LM client, bit it’s a must have for every one. They can be used wet or dry.

7. BareMinerals READY Eye Shadows

BareMinerals has come a long way!!! Especially, when it comes to the eye shadow arena.  BE has started making pressed eye shadow duos with intense color and anti-aging benefits. With these new kits you are getting the best of both worlds. These eye shadows are soft and beautiful and are available in array vibrant colors. Each duo is paired in complementary colors that assure creating the perfect eye. There are over 10 new colors that were introduced in late fall.

6. Bliss: The Youth As We Know It Starter Set 


Bliss is among my top favorites for skin care, but this kit is new even though the products themselves aren’t. Laura Mercier Waterproof Mascara

Beauties, this is one of those things that are fool proof! Since we are still getting to know each other, you will learn that I am a firm believer that if you don’t do anything else I advise that you at least put on mascara. It makes such a world of difference.

Why: I love this mascara because it gives long lasting mascara without sacrificing the pigment. It’s not the highest pigmented mascara on the market, but it is one of the top producers out there especially if you like a lighter texture mascara. This formula is smooth and glides with ease, even with touch ups (no clumps). Its great for Beauties that may have sensitive eyes and you can remove it with just soap and water.
